A Critical First Day
Kira needed intensive support. A breathing tube helped provide oxygen, IV lines supported her weakened body, and monitors tracked her vital signs while the veterinary team watched her closely.
Under the blankets and equipment, the full-grown dog looked especially vulnerable. She had arrived already depleted, leaving little room for setbacks.
A caretaker remained beside her, gently resting a hand against her body while the medical team worked. For Kira, the change was enormous. She had gone from facing her condition without the care she needed to having people watching every breath and response.
