Caramel watched countless visitors pass through the shelter in search of a dog to bring home. Many stopped outside his kennel, but their attention rarely carried the warmth or curiosity he needed. Instead, people stared at the unusual folds covering his face, whispered to one another and sometimes laughed before continuing down the aisle.

A Rare Condition Shaped Caramel’s Appearance
